What would be the 3 pieces of advice that I would give to my younger self?
Chill the F… out and rest, make your sleep better and stop eating crap.
I truly believe that what we do now will have an impact on us in about 10 years. Knowing what I know now, those late night out with friends eating McDonald's weren’t that good of an idea right? I trained like crazy for martial arts and track and field at that time. Did I do well? I probably would have done better.
However, that young guy has made me who I am today. Aware of all this, the trainer and coach that I am today are better because of who I was and what I did. I made my mistakes and learned from them.
Making mistakes is not the worst, but repeating them is the dumbest thing you can do. So, make mistakes and learn from them. If you don’t make mistakes, it means that you are not trying hard enough.
